Sister & Co. beauty: Fresh mint exfoliating body polish

This is an invigorating, effective body scrub that smells amazing. You can make it using just three kitchen cupboard ingredients.

All you need:

Raw coconut oil

Brown, white or coconut sugar

Large handful fresh chopped mint leaves

Optional - a couple of drops of essential oil of your choice (we love citrus or vanilla with this blend)

All you need to do:

It depends on you how much you want to make, but you need 1 part coconut oil (don't warm up the oil to melt it, warm oil will melt the sugar) to 2 parts sugar.  Blend all the ingredients together in a food processor for about 10-15 seconds until combined but the mint leaves are still a bit grainy. Blending like this will ensure the coconut oil doesn't solidify but keep a creamy texture. Done! Transfer to a small container and store in a cool, dry area. If it's very warm outside, store in the fridge to prevent the oil from softening too much.

Use the scrub on damp skin in the bath or shower, exfoliating in gentle circular motions. The scrub will work really well to remove dead skin cells leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth. You won't need to moisturise afterwards as the coconut oil will provide long-lasting hydration.
